Annapolis Police responded to a home in the 100 block of South Southwood St for a reported assault. They found a man stabbed in the thumb; and the suspect being his roommate, Matthew James who was arrested and charged accordingly.
On July 25th, the same victim was stabbed in the head at the same address by a different roommate and charged with attempted murder. The suspect in that case, David Raymond is currently in jail awaiting trial.

Aggravated Assault – 201600003845 – 100 block of S. Southwood St. – 8/29/16 at 6:41pm:
The victim and his roommate were involved in a verbal disagreement which turned into a physical altercation. During the altercation, the suspect, identified as Matthew James, m/39, produced a knife cutting the victim on his thumb. The suspect was arrested and charged with 1st, and 2nd degree assault, reckless endangerment, and carrying a weapon w/ intent to injure.
