
Leobardo Jolalpa-Ramirez, charged in stabbing death of father
On February 20, 2016 at 2:45 a.m. Annapolis Police officers responded to a home in the 300 block of Atwater Drive for a report of a stabbing. Inside the home, officers located Martin Jolalpa-Vazquez, 44, of Annapolis who was bleeding profusely.
Martin Jolalpa-Vazquez had been stabbed and was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center where he died from his injuries. Officers quickly located the suspect, the victim’s son, at Great Bay Avenue and Annapolis Walk Drive. Leobardo Jolalpa-Ramirez, 22, of Annapolis was arrested and charged in his father’s death.
Leobardo Jolalpa-Ramirez was charged with first and second degree murder, manslaughter, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
