On February 5th Detectives from the Annapolis Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Norwood Nutter, 34, of Annapolis for attempted murder for the stabbing that occurred on Bens Drive on February 4th.
On Thursday, February 4th at 3:35 p.m. officers responded to the unit block of Bens Drive for a report of a people arguing in the parking lot about to fight. Officers arrived, but did not locate anyone arguing or fighting. At 4 p.m. an officer at Anne Arundel Medical Center reported that a 30 year old male victim arrived at the hospital with an apparent knife wound to the chest. The victim reported that he was in the parking lot at Bens Drive talking to Nutter, who is a relative of the victim. The talking escalated into a verbal argument and Nutter produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest.
Detectives are attempting to locate Nutter and arrest him. Anyone with information about this incident or the whereabouts of Nutter is asked to contact Detective John Murphy at 410-260-3439 or jhmurphy@annapolis.gov.
